Project Description: This extensive refurbishment project at Tallaght Plaza Hotel was completed while maintaining full operational capacity throughout the construction period. The project encompassed a complete renovation and fire upgrade of 122 bedrooms, involving the removal of existing fitout on the 2nd and 3rd floors, installation of new mechanical and electrical systems including rewiring and air conditioning, new shaft walls, drylining, and soft refitting. The ground floor transformation included demolition of the main restaurant and bar, complete removal of existing fixtures and raised floor areas, followed by full fitout of new bar and restaurant facilities with mechanical and electrical systems, soft furnishings, and relocated toilet block and ancillary kitchen facilities featuring a new dumb waiter connection. The project also involved alterations to the main reception area and desk, creating a new entrance from lobby to bar area. Comprehensive fire safety upgrades were implemented throughout all communal and back-of-house areas, including upgraded fire walls, doors, and dampers, ensuring full compliance with current safety standards.
