Conneally Group delivered a complex capacity upgrade at the historic House Hotel in the heart of Galway City, carefully completed while the hotel remained fully operational.
The works involved the demolition of 70% of the existing ground-floor bar and the reconfiguration of the reception area to incorporate a new breakfast bar.

In addition, six new ground-floor bedrooms with en suites were constructed and fitted out, including one designed for full accessibility. A comprehensive refurbishment of existing guest rooms and bar areas was also carried out in 2025, combining modern comfort with sensitive preservation of the building’s distinctive heritage character.
Throughout the project, meticulous planning and execution ensured uninterrupted guest services while enhancing the hotel’s capacity and guest experience.
